We do our best to offer the most convenient flat shipping rates and all our packages are sent via USPS Priority Mail.
Please note that in the majority of cases, transit time is between 2 to 3 business days, however IT IS NOT a guaranteed service.
We ship, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday so please keep this in mind when ordering.
Due to regulatory restrictions, we cannot ship to California, Washington and Oregon.
*Some shrinkage is to be expected during shipment so additional chestnuts are added to each order.
Chestnuts are perishable and we do not accept returns.
All of our chestnuts undergo quality control inspections and they are fresh when they leave our farm.
Chestnuts will remain fresh during transit time, however upon delivery of your order, please inspect your chestnuts carefully and keep them refrigerated. Please contact us with any possible question or concern as we will work hard to ensure your satisfaction!

The Chestnut journey we are on started out as a way to teach my daughter about stratification and how some trees germinate and grow (home science project). This has turned into a big deal for her. She is so excited to have an opportunity help re-establish chestnuts in our region.
This is my first year ordering from Chestnut Ridge. My first order 5lb Large (218 nuts). I then ordered 10lb med (613 nuts). My total is 851 seeds. I can’t wait till spring to see how many germinate.

These chestnuts are amazing! We ordered a few pounds of each size just to give them a taste and see what kind of quality we would receive. In my honest evaluation these are the best chestnuts we have ever had. All my life we have gotten them from the local grocery stores and almost always more than half of them were rotten. We opened about 50 of the Pike County chestnuts and only one was rotten. That is a very good percentage in my opinion. We will order from this company every year from now on. Not sure if their organic or not, but we are very pleasantly surprised and we highly recommend them to anyone wanting to eat quality chestnuts.

Bought chestnuts seeds to plant. They came as ordered with great instructions. I just planted 64 seeds. Only had 2 seeds not sprout out of 66 after wintering them in the refrigerator. Thanks

I have been ordering from Chestnut Ridge of Pike County now for several years in a row. I have always gotten the medium chestnuts, and I have never been disappointed by their size. They have always been quality nuts, and their prices are the best I have found. I have also always been satisfied with their shipping rates and times. I can’t see any reason that I would stop ordering chestnuts each year for Christmas in the future from them.
